Aside from a few rousing games of Monopoly and Checkers, there hasn't been much excitement around the Jones house the week after Christmas. We had a nice, quiet Christmas here with just us. Our families are waiting to come visit in January/February when baby J will be here.
Neither one of us had to work all week after Christmas so it has been a great time to rest and stock up on sleep. We've watched 3 movies in the theater (Young Adult, Girl w/ The Dragon Tattoo, and Sherlock Holmes.) Our DVR is empty, and we've had to resort to watching reruns of 'Las Vegas' and discovering new shows like 'Call of the Wildman' - featuring Turtle Man (a must-see if you haven't ever watched that show). He catches critters with his bare hands, has no teeth, and a passion for releasing varmints back into the wild. Embarrassingly we are also up-to-date on all episodes of the Kardashians. We realized that we've watched more TV in the past month than we have watched in the whole time since we have moved to Boulder! We're trying to pass the time and not go crazy waiting for this baby to come! He seems quite content to remain right where he is, for now, even though TODAY is my due date! Doesn't he know how to keep to a schedule?!!!

Bump Timeline 2011
Its really amazing to look back over the past 40 weeks and see how much baby and I have grown. The belly is a really stretchy thing. At 40 weeks along, I can't imagine getting ANY BIGGER, but depending on when Baby J decides to emerge, it could totally happen! Here are some pictures through the pregnancy so that you can see the bump timeline from weeks 19 - 40.
19 weeks - aww look, she just had a big lunch today:
Week 22 - 23, over Labor Day weekend the bump becomes more pronounced especially when sticking the belly out like this:
Week 24 - September 17th weekend in Arizona for our Baby Moon, we took advantage of reserved parking spots and attempted some desert hiking (Note: I do not recommend going for a hike in the 100 degree Arizona desert when this pregnant!):
At 26 weeks, we went on a nice long hike up to Indian Peaks in Nederland to take some pictures of the changing leaves, and what a great background for a bump picture:
27 weeks - No I didn't paint but I supervised. This isn't a great bump photo but wanted to show the "before" picture of the nursery:
28 weeks - the bump is definitely a bump:

34 weeks at Thanksgiving the bump is getting serious, I take every opportunity to sit down:
Week 38 - Feeling ready to POP!
On the BRINK of 40 weeks - photo taken on New Years Eve 2011. This belly is out of control! When is this baby coming? We don't know! To kill some time, we went out to celebrate the end of 2011 and eat fried chicken and gather stares from concerned restaurant owners, who think I'm going to have my water break in one of their booths:

Baby J's Nursery - RAWR!
Once we found out that we were having a boy, we began racking our brains thinking of cool little boy nursery themes. Jesse had several ideas that I don't think would have turned out as good as the one we eventually picked (ex: great World Wars, Ninjas, Star Wars). DINOSAURS was the winning theme, and once we decided that and the color scheme, it was pretty easy to decorate. It was a lot of work but I love how it turned out! Now all we need is a baby!
The changing table was a gift from Grandpa and Grandma Jones - it was exactly what the nursery needed! Grandpa Jay refinished an antique dresser and painted it and hauled it to Colorado from Illinois over Thanksgiving. Aunt April made the Missouri and Illinois signs, and my coworker Tammy reupholstered the cushions for the Dutailer glider (The Polished Nest on Etsy is her shop). All in all, I love how it turned out! Decorating has never been my strong suit but pregnancy brain was able to focus on decorating and for that I am grateful since I can't seem to focus on much else :)
